Accelerated Master's Program of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

For the master's in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, you will study the diversity of life in an integrative evolutionary framework, considering all levels in the biological hierarchy: genes, cells, organisms, populations, communities and ecosystems. You can specialize in population biology, species interactions, large-scale ecology, theoretical biology and more. Your studies will benefit from the department's strategy blending several approaches to foster meaningful interaction between faculty and students and cultivating interdisciplinary exploration. The department's education and research extend beyond the lab to habitats like the local desert and mountain systems that stretch to Mexico, the Sea of Cortez and Costa Rica.

Must have completed the main EEB courses: Ecology 302, Evolution 335, and Genetics 320. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case situation. Must have a 3.3 GPA at the time of application and at the time of entrance as a graduate student.
