Riverine and estuarine systems are in continual flux as they interact with the physical environment, climatic conditions and human factors. Our Riverine and Estuarine Processes MRes is designed to meet the growing demand from governments and engineers worldwide for a more in-depth understanding of these systems; as the climate is changing, the human population increasing and severe floods, erosion and water scarcity become more common. You will develop your own research pathway, building your research skills by exploring topics such as flood management, fluvial processes and morphology, river habitat health and riverhuman interactions. You will also learn advanced analytics and methodical methods designed to help prepare you for your future career. You will be linked to our Centre for Earth Observation Science. Learning with researchers involved in a wide range of projects, locally and internationally, provides opportunities for you to contribute to, and make an impact on, current environmental research topics.
