Whilst completing the programme is not contingent upon sitting SQE1, September starters are expected to sit SQE1 in July. January starters are expected to sit SQE1 the following January. BARBRI’s industry-leading SQE1 preparation programme has been incorporated into this 12-month LLM degree to ensure a holistic approach to professional development. This is not only focused on passing SQE1, but develops an understanding of professional expectations as well as legal knowledge and skills more broadly. Students are taught to engage in reflective practice to track their professional development and deliberately optimise their preparation for SQE1 and beyond. You will have regular in-person support in this journey, from an individual Learning Coach experienced in legal practice and legal education, as well as group workshops.
