It is a completely online course with provision for adaptability to include in-country tutor visits. The course offers bachelor’s degree graduates the opportunity to obtain a teaching certificate accredited by the University of Buckingham. The course offers teachers and in-service teachers in schools outside the United Kingdom who have not undergone a period of formal training the opportunity to obtain the professional qualifications necessary to modernise teaching methods and develop educational skills and competencies.

You must have a university bachelor’s degree or equivalent. We will need to see your original degree certificate. You must be employed as a teacher in an international school abroad or you have an agreement with a school that accommodates your training needs. You must obtain a commitment from your school to provide a suitable mentor. You will be asked to show the physical and mental fitness to teach. The employing school must be able to fully support a candidate through the course, enabling them to demonstrate all of the UK Teachers’ Standards and releasing them for the compulsory live online training sessions.
