UCF is one of the largest, most innovative universities in the U.S, with more than 220 programs and a campus that brings together over 70,000 students from more than 150 countries.
Orlando is one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. – a global hub for tech, aerospace, hospitality, health sciences, and entertainment with 236 days of sunshine a year. As a UCF student, students don't just study these industries, they intern in them. Students can connect with industry leaders at NASA, Lockheed Martin, Walt Disney World, Siemens, and beyond – right from campus. UCF is the #1 workforce supplier to the U.S. aerospace and defense industry, and programs like hospitality management rank #1 in the nation, with a 97 percent job placement rate.
The UCF Global Pathway Program is the first year of a degree program made extraordinary with exceptional support. From the first semester students earn credits directly toward a degree.
UCF Global provides active tutoring, personalized academic plans tailored to each program, and access to UCF Global events even after students transition into full undergraduate study. With an 87 percent on-time graduation rate, average 3.5 GPA for UCF Global students, the results speak for themselves. UCF's Intensive English Program (IEP) offers 9 levels of face-to-face instruction with 24 hours of class per week, each equivalent to 6–8 weeks of study (two levels per academic semester).
Level 8 of the IEP automatically exempts students from TOEFL and IELTS requirements for UCF admission.
UCF was founded on the conviction that great universities solve the world's hardest problems, and that spirit lives in every classroom. Faculty at UCF are not just educators; they are active researchers, industry leaders, and innovators who bring the real world into every lecture, every lab, and every project.
Whether students are working alongside faculty on a NASA-funded research project, refining their craft in Rosen College's professional hospitality training facilities, or collaborating with industry partners on a live business challenge, students will learn by doing, with learning grounded in real challenges.
At UCF Global, student support is the foundation of everything the university does. From the moment students receive their acceptance to the day they graduate, UCF Global is a dedicated partner, a community, and a home away from home.
UCF Student Care Services provides one-to-one support for students navigating mental health challenges, financial stress, physical health issues, and personal concerns – whether studying in person or remotely. Specialist care coordinators are always available, because students' wellbeing matters as much as their academic results.
Key areas of learning include space technologies and systems, transformative technologies, energy and sustainability, health and human performance, and entertainment and immersive experiences.
Every international student's journey to UCF begins with UCF Global. Whether students need language support before their degree or are ready to start earning degree credits immediately, UCF Global's programs are designed to meet students where they are.
UCF Global's Pathway Program is the recommended starting point for international undergraduate applicants. Designed specifically for students transitioning to UCF and American academic culture, the Pathway Program allows students to earn real UCF degree credits from their very first semester – with no SAT or ACT required.
UCF Global guides all applicants through every step of the process and provides further detail on any additional documentation required.
Applicants applying to graduate programs at UCF are required to hold a U.S. bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution. Minimum English language scores for graduate admission vary by program. UCF Global offers dedicated graduate recruitment support and can advise on program-specific requirements.
UCF operates a network of campuses across Central Florida, each strategically designed to enhance students' academic experiences and connect them directly to thriving industries.
On the main campus, international students benefit from modern, fully furnished on-campus housing (Wi-Fi and utilities included), a free campus bus network, and access to over 600 student clubs and organizations, from academic societies and cultural groups to sports clubs and community projects.
UCF takes the safety and security of every student, staff member, and visitor seriously across every campus, every day of the year. A professional, dedicated UCF Police Department operates across all campus locations, with approximately 80 sworn law enforcement officers providing 24-hour, 7-day-a-week coverage, 365 days a year. Every campus location features emergency telephones and stationed officers available around the clock. UCF Alerts, the university's dedicated emergency communication system, delivers real-time safety notifications directly to students' phones. UCF's Department of Security continually reviews and strengthens its protocols based on student needs and community feedback.
For families sending a student to study in the United States, UCF's commitment to campus safety is backed by institutional infrastructure, professional staffing, and a culture that takes its duty of care seriously – every hour of every day. The university does everything in its power to ensure that UCF is a safe, secure and welcoming environment for all.
UCF is one of the best-value research universities in the United States. With a Pathway Program tuition starting at USD 8,500 per semester – and direct undergraduate tuition significantly below the national average for comparable institutions – investment in a UCF education gives students the opportunity to enjoy world-class outcomes at outstanding value.
Full details on all available funding initiatives, including eligibility criteria and information on how to apply for funds, are available on the university's website.
Graduate funding is available in the form of fellowships, assistantships, and tuition support. Eligibility and award criteria are set by individual departments and colleges. Prospective graduate students are encouraged to contact the graduate program director in their subject area for further information before applying to explore the options available to them.
UCF's new Pegasus Partnership with Siemens Energy represents a USD 5 million investment in sustainable energy research, executive education, and talent development. For students in engineering, environmental science, or energy management, this partnership creates direct pathways into one of the world's fastest-growing industries while still at university.
With over 40 active NASA projects totaling more than USD 67 million in funding, UCF remains at the cutting edge of space science and technology. The launch of the HyperSpace Centre in October 2024 marks UCF's latest step forward in hypersonic and space technology research. If students want to work on the innovations that will define the next century, UCF is where that work is happening.
UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality Management is ranked No. 1 in the United States and No. 4 globally for five consecutive years.
