Life Sciences with Industrial/Professional Experience (4 years) - BSc (Hons)

Our BSc Life Sciences with IndustrialProfessional Experience course will enable you to gain experience of the workplace on a year-long placement during your degree, making you more attractive to potential employers after graduation. This course is ideal if you are committed to studying the biological sciences, but have not yet decided on the area in which you want to specialise. You can then make that decision from a position of greater knowledge at the end of the first year. The combination of units taken in the first year will enable you to transfer to most of our biological and biomedical sciences courses. In Year 3, you will have the opportunity to go on a placement with one of our trusted partner' organisations in the UK or abroad. Alternatively, you can choose to arrange your own placement (subject to approval from the School of Biological Sciences). Placements range from research project work to roles in education, the biotechnology industry and science communication.

The University welcomes applications from appropriately qualified candidates across the world. We value global talent and are proud to receive applications from a wide range of educational systems and national backgrounds. Because international qualifications vary widely, it is not possible for us to list entry information for every country on this page. If your country is not listed below, please contact us and a member of our team will be happy to assist you: https://www.manchester.ac.uk/study/international/contact-international-team/
