IELTSApplicants for the JD/MBA joint degree program should meet the entrance requirements set by each program. Admission to one program does not guarantee admission to the other. Applications are welcome from students with baccalaureate degrees in any field. Submit an application via the online portal. Be sure to provide your full legal name and to capitalize the first letter of all proper nouns. Statement of Purpose, minimum 300 words. Unless otherwise indicated in the program requirement details, indicate your graduate study objectives, research interests and experience, and business or industry experience if applicable. If you are applying for a teaching or research assistantship, include any special skills or experience that would assist us in making assistantship decisions. Resume. Transcripts for all post-secondary institutions attended (regardless of whether a credential is earned or not). Unofficial transcripts are accepted for admissions application review, once enrolled a final official transcript is required. International students applying with an transcript evaluation, please submit that document with your unofficial transcripts. International applicants for Data Science must submit semester-by-semester transcripts as well as consolidated transcripts. All official documents are required for enrollment, please have documents (ie. test scores) sent prior to the expiration. Candidates must submit the required application materials, university requirements and program-specific requirements, for consideration. GMAT, LSAT or GRE score (minimum score of 500). Alternatively, some applicants may qualify for GMAT waiver. 2 letters of recommendation: preferably from a faculty member or an employer. Applicants will be required to provide each recommender's name and email address so we can contact the recommender for the letter of recommendation.The MBA/JD program requires admission into UMass School of Law prior to applying to the MBA/JD program. To apply for admission to UMass Law, you must:
Have earned a bachelor's degree from an institution that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Department of Education.
An LSAT, GRE or JD-Next score is required for all JD applicants. A valid reportable score must be received directly from LSAC, ETS or Aspen Publishing. Scores more than 5 years old are not acceptable for admission consideration. Applicants must submit all GRE test scores directly to UMass Law. UMass Law’s ETS code is 3392. JD-Next scores will be received directly from Aspen Publishing.
Register with the Credential Assembly Service (CAS).
Official transcripts of an applicant's undergraduate, graduate, and professional schoolwork must be submitted to the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), which will analyze the transcripts and provide copies to UMass Law as part of the CAS Report.
