The applicant's grade point average, research experience, recommendations and language proficiency are considered in the admission decision. GRE scores (general and subject) are not required for admission and will not be used in the admissions process. Further, the committee looks for the applicant to have a solid foundation in basic physics with at least 15 credit hours of introductory and intermediate coursework in classical mechanics, statistical physics, electricity and magnetism, and quantum physics. Applications are processed for fall term admission.
