Performer’s certificate applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in music.
Gather your materials
Official transcripts.
Names and locations of previous college(s) and dates you attended.
Citizenship, residency and visa information (if applicable).
Artistic resume or CV: Please list all relevant music experience such as ensembles, schools, teachers, performances and awards.
Two references: List the names and contact information of your references, and the application system will send an email to them requesting that they submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf. Letters of recommendation must be received by Feb. 1.
Special program requirements
Keyboard performance emphasis applicants must submit a recording along with a sample of scholarly writing and a proposed program of audition repertoire (PDF) with their application. Applicants who are successfully prescreened will be invited to audition on the date selected on the application.
Saxophone performance emphasis applicants must submit a recording along with their application. Applicants who are successfully prescreened will be invited to audition on the date selected on the application.
All graduate performance applicants are required to audition on their primary instrument/voice on one of our three live audition dates. If you cannot attend any of the three dates, please select the “video audition” option or contact Conservatory admissions.
