Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics - Didactic Program in Dietetics

The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics offers an undergraduate program in nutrition and dietetics which culminates in a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. The program, also called a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and DieteticsAfter earning the B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics degree in the DPD concentration, graduates can sit for the Nutrition and Dietetics Technician (NDTR) examination and the Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) examination and seek employment in a clinical, food service, or community setting. Other options are to seek advanced education or employment in nutrition education, food service, program management, sales, or health and fitness.

Admissions decisions at UNF are rendered based on academic merit. The state of Florida has implemented minimum admission standards for freshman applicants to all Florida public state universities. In order to be considered, students must have a minimum 2.5 recalculated GPA on a 4.0 scale and meet minimum test score requirements.Regardless of when they graduated from high school, students applying as first-time-in-college (FTIC) applicants are required to submit either SAT, ACT and/or CLT test scores.
