The University of Nottingham (UNM) is a member of the UK's prestigious Russell Group of research-intensive universities, ranking in the top 100 universities globally (QS World University Rankings 2026). The university is the first UK branch campus in Malaysia, offering degrees that are equivalent to the ones awarded in the UK for more than 25 years.
UNM offers study programmes suitable for students at all levels of higher education, from foundation to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Many of its programmes are accredited by professional bodies to ensure it meets a high-quality standard.
Teaching is student-focused with 90% of lecturers having a PhD in their area of specialisation. As such, learners receive a tailored education, rich with the latest insights in the field. UNM offers exchange and transfer programmes . The inter-campus exchange programme allows eligible students to study a semester or up to a year in the UK or China campus while paying Malaysia tuition fees.
UNM is also a Universitas 21 (U21) partner university, allowing students to spend a semester at partner universities across the globe including countries like Netherlands, France, Mexico, Japan and many more.
Eligible students planning to graduate in the UK or China can transfer to the host campus for their final year, subject to course availability at the chosen location.

At UNM, every student's career journey starts from day one. The Careers Advisory Service (CAS) supports students and graduates every step of the way, helping them to build the skills, confidence, and connections to achieve their goals.

Made up of an elected body of students, the UNM Students' Association is the official campus organization that represents all students. The association manages the numerous clubs and societies on campus that students can be a part of.
UNM provides an array of scholarships and other financial assistance to support academic excellence and research initiatives for deserving students.
The High Achiever's Scholarship (HAS) is an automatic merit-based scholarship that rewards outstanding academic performance, awarded at the university's discretion to deserving students. Eligible students will receive a tuition fee reduction ranging from 15 percent to 25 percent on their first-year of undergraduate study based on their results.
The Dean's Excellence Scholarship (DES) is awarded to top performing current students, at the point of progression for each academic year. Students receive 25 percent off their tuition fees for one academic year based on their results.
This scholarship is open to high achieving students enrolling into any postgraduate taught programme, including postgraduate certificates and diplomas, and master's degrees. Eligible candidates will receive a 20 percent tuition fee reduction for the entire duration of their chosen course.
UNM offers students state-of-the-art academic facilities, and a wide range of amenities and recreational options.
The emphasis on sporting pursuits is evident with their state-of-the-art sports complex. The complex features indoor and outdoor facilities including gymnasiums, badminton court, basketball court, tennis court, swimming pool and more. The use of the sports facilities is free of charge for all students and alumni.
The campus has an on-site clinic and a wellbeing centre that provides mental health and disability advisory services. There are members of staff who are designated safety officers, with whom students can discuss any concerns that they may have.
The university's shuttle bus service links students to major off-campus spots, including Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), Kuala Lumpur's main interstate bus terminal, and nearby public transport hubs like the Kajang MRT/KTM stations, the fastest route into the heart of KL.
UNM offers a variety of cuisines via is F&B stalls, which include Malay, Western, Vegan and more. There are also shops and convenience stores such as 7 Cafe, as well as a student-run retail outlet selling UNM merchandises. Besides that, there are community spaces for meetings and events of various scales, such as student activity rooms, a Great Hall, and an Amphitheatre.
UNM offers a range of on campus student accommodation options, where amenities and learning facilities are all just a short walk away. There are eleven spacious and secure halls of residence, all of which offer dedicated wardens and 24/7 security.
The rooms include Wi-Fi connectivity, water, electricity and housekeeping services. Room types range from single room with ensuite bathroom to twin shared rooms to four-sharing rooms and more. The on-campus accommodation also has specially designed rooms for students with disabilities and all-female residence halls.
All residential halls are within easy access to the academic buildings and on-campus conveniences like food and beverage and retail outlets, plus sports and leisure facilities.
