University of Reading Malaysia (URM) is the international branch campus of the University of Reading, one of the UK's leading universities with more than 150 years of academic heritage and a strong global reputation for teaching and research.
URM's Malaysia campus opened in 2015, is located in EduCity, Iskandar Puteri, and delivers the same high academic standards, curriculum, and degree qualifications as the university's UK campus. URM is a wholly owned branch campus, meaning that it provides its students with an English-speaking education experience based on the teaching approach used in the UK. Academic schools represented at both Malaysia and UK campuses include Henley Business School, the School of the Built Environment, the School of Law, and the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences. All URM's programmes are accredited by the UK's Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) as well as the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), ensuring internationally recognised academic quality.
Teaching is delivered by experienced academics, with approximately 75 per cent of undergraduate faculty holding PhDs, and the university places strong emphasis on employability and professional preparation. Students have full access to a modern purpose-built campus featuring advanced lecture theatres, technology-enabled classrooms, laboratories, and a range of social learning spaces. The provost scholarships are designed to honour students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership potential, creativity, and accomplishments beyond the classroom. These prestigious awards reflect the university's commitment to nurturing future leaders who will make a positive impact within their communities and chosen fields. These scholarship carries a value of up to 100 per cent of the total programme tuition fees.
This scholarship is open to students who demonstrate exemplary academic ability and achievement. The scholarship carries a value of up to 30 per cent of the total programme tuition fees, depending on the student's level of academic performance.
This scheme was established to coincide with the University of Reading's 100-Year Anniversary and the University of Reading Malaysia's tenth anniversary at the Educity campus.
