Course info

The Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) program is designed for students who have completed a bachelor's degree in computer science and want to further their studies. Admission to the program is highly selective with a limited number of openings and many strong applicants each year. Only applicants who possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent are likely to be competitive for admission. The College of Natural Sciences comprises 12 departments representing opportunities for research and learning unlike any other in the life sciences, physical sciences, human sciences and math, data & computing sciences. CS students at UT participate in hackathons, intern with tech giants and start-ups, join labs to develop games, apps and robotics and study overseas. Many go on to pursue careers in and out of the technology sector or opt to continue their studies in graduate or professional school.
