B.A. Psychology

The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with a major in psychology requires a total of 36 credit hours in psychology, excluding those counted toward general curriculum requirements, and the equivalent of four semesters of foreign language. At least two-thirds of those credit hours must be at the 3000 level or above, and no more than 39 hours in psychology may be counted toward the degree. A senior project is required. Options that satisfy this requirement include completing a one- or two-semester research capstone, taking a fifth core class, completing a 5000-level graduate course, or participating in a psychology practicum experience. Given the major allows flexibility, students are strongly urged to work with their advisors to select courses in a meaningful order and in relation to their own career plans.
