English for Academic Purposes (EAP) - 36 weeks

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) provides you with an opportunity to learn English language in context to prepare you for university study. The course will allow you to develop the foundations of English for higher level academic study. Students enrolled in the EAP program will develop and practice essential academic language skills, including writing explanations and argumentative essays, and using formal language for spoken presentations. Lessons are built around current and relevant topics to foster discussion and critical thinking. You will also be supported in developing independent learning strategies to prepare for higher-level academic study. Each module includes 20 hours of tuition per week. The program length ranges from 6 to 24 weeks, depending on your entry level. This course is offered by our pathway provider, UOW College Australia. You will receive a quality education at our English Language Centre, a proud member of English Australia, accredited by TEQSA and quality endorsed by NEAS Australia.
