Graduate Certificate in Commerce - Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations

This programme can be studied as a general commerce qualification or you can choose to specialise in a specific subject. Find out what qualifications you need to get into the GCertCom and what courses you need to take to complete it. Gain an overview of basic business functions and learn about the environments in which businesses operate—both in New Zealand and around the world. Discover the differences between HR and ER and look at contemporary issues like the living wage, pay equity, and why and how people strike.

You need a Bachelor’s degree with at least a B average unless stated otherwise in the programme’s minimum general entry requirements. A background in a particular subject area or extensive relevant work experience may be required. Students with equivalent international qualifications from a recognised institution are encouraged to apply. Each application is assessed individually, and entry into postgraduate programmes is at the discretion of the programme director.
