Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering

You can be on the front lines of initiating these fundamental changes in industry and society with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England University. Offering concentrations in mechanical engineering and mechatronics, the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering program is directed toward both full-time and part-time students with a special emphasis on providing training and experience in performing independent research on topics with theoretical as well as applied interest and managing projects.
To satisfy requirements for an advanced degree in mechanical engineering, you will take three core courses in Engineering Management or Project Management, Quality Engineering, Design of Experiments, System Integration, and Mechanical Engineering. At the completion of these 12 credits, you will then choose a faculty advisor and course of study for the remainder of your education. Your choices include an all-course option, a project option, which includes advanced coursework and a final presented project, and a thesis option, that involves advanced coursework and a thesis with a presentation.

Successful completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education in mechanical engineering. Other related disciplines will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for admission. Candidates with a lower GPA may be considered for conditional admittance or non degree status.
