Postgraduate Bridging Program (Social Work)

This program offers the kind of foundation essential for your success in postgraduate programs such as the Master of Social Work (Qualifying). Engage in such topics as fundamental debates in welfare policy; the impacts of remedial welfare policy and policy solutions; and investigate strategies to influence policy development related to social work practice. Explore developments in management practices in response to social developments such as multiculturalism, recognition of diversity, equal employment opportunity and recognition of contextual and local issues.

To be admitted to the Postgraduate Bridging Program (Social Work), applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree. This program is designed for students who have not completed the minimum 8 prerequisite subjects in the social and behavioural sciences required for entry into the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) program. These prerequisites are mandated by the Australian Social Work Education and Accreditation Standards (2024).
