Wright State University welcomes applications from students from all over the world. It's especially on the lookout for those with baccalaureate qualifications.
To apply, students need a certificate to show they have completed secondary school, where they must have studied mathematics and science subjects. They'll need a cumulative GPA score of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
Undergraduate English language requirements
Non-native English speakers also need to demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following minimum test scores, or equivalent:
Students who have a three- or four-year bachelor's degree must submit the required transcripts from the school or institution they have graduated from to apply for a graduate study program. Three-year programs that students have studied must meet the regionally accredited standards of four-year degree programs in the US.

The university is spread over a 651-acre campus, including nature trails and wildlife. Facilities include academic and academic support buildings, libraries, student residences, and an entertainment and athletics venue. Almost all academic buildings are connected by underground tunnels, which provide safe and dry routes for students during adverse weather conditions. These are accessible for disabled students.
Student residences are comfortable and convenient. There are three residence hall communities and four on-campus apartment communities that are affordable, spacious, and inclusive. Students can customize their room and board by choosing the housing, dining, and parking options that fit their needs. On-campus housing residents enjoy high-speed internet, heating and air conditioning, and laundry facilities.
The international scholarship program provides financial awards to international students based on academic merit. Values range upto $12,000 each accademic year. Undergraduate awards are renewable for up to three years.
All new undergraduate international students are considered for the scholarship when admitted to the university. No extra application is needed. Eligible students need to meet the minimum GPA score requirements.
The Southeast Asia Merit Scholarship is designed to support undergraduate students who have attended High school in Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Scholarships are awarded at the time of admission and are renewable at $12,000 each academic year. Eligible students who continue to meet certain criteria can receive this scholarship for a total of 8 semesters of full-time undergraduate study.
The Vietnam Academic Merit Scholarship is designed to award and support academically outstanding Vietnamese undergraduate international students. Scholarships are renewable and range in value from 50 to 75 percent of tuition. Eligible students who continue to meet certain criteria can receive this scholarship for a total of 8 semesters of full-time undergraduate study.
A renewable scholarship of USD 10,000 per year is available for new undergraduate international students who demonstrate an interest in intercultural understanding and exchange.
Outstanding graduate international students may be eligible for an award of up to USD 5,000, renewable for one year. Students are considered for the scholarship when admitted to the university. No extra application is needed.

Graduate engineering and computer science programs at Wright State University are recognized among the best in the nation, according to the 2025 U.S. News and World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings.
