"I have always wanted to experience a different learning environment and culture. "
- Amora on why she chose to study in Australia.
Back in Year 9, I had already planned to study overseas for my high school because I wanted to experience a different learning environment and culture. At first, Singapore was the destination.
However, since my sister is studying at a university in Sydney, I decided to come to Australia so I could stay close to her, and I’m really glad that we're here together.
"My IDP counsellor helped me clarify my thoughts when I was unsure about which degree to pursue."
How was IDP able to help you?
IDP supported me throughout my UAC application process. My counsellor, Kelvin, answered all my questions about the majors offered by different universities, visa conditions, and even helped me clarify my thoughts when I was unsure about which degree to pursue. Their guidance made the whole process much easier. P/s He bought me boba!
What and where are you planning to study at university?
I plan to study at the University of Sydney.
Is there any advice for international students?
Don't be shy! Immerse ourselves in the local culture and environment. Try to experience as much as we can - whether it’s school life, work opportunities, making friends, or joining extracurricular activities. The more we push ourselves to try new things, the more we learn and grow. By being open to new experiences, we’ll create unforgettable memories and fully enjoy our time studying and working here.
