Migration Tasmania has received its full nomination allocation for the 2025–26 program year from the Australian Government and has now started weekly invitations for Registrations of Interest (ROIs).
In total, Tasmania has been allocated 1,850 nomination places, including interim allocations. This will be divided into:
Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa - 1,200 places
Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa - 650 places

How many ROIs were invited to apply
The lowest scores invited
How many nomination places are still available
The number of ROIs currently on hand

To be eligible for state nomination, you must meet the following requirements as outlined by the Department of Home Affairs:
Be under 45 years of age
Have nominated an occupation from the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations
Hold a valid and positive skills assessment for your nominated occupation
Demonstrate at least ‘Competent’ English language proficiency
Score a minimum of 65 points on the Department of Home Affairs points test.
