I, as a requirement, may vary for universities and colleges, bases, the level of program you are applying for, for master's level or PJI level programs, either requirement minimum should be six point five. No one should be less than six, whereas for undergraduate programs, especially for diplomas and advanced diplomas, is a requirement is six overall. No one should be less than six where for postgraduate diploma it is six point five minimum.

For Carleton University, specifically, an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with no band lower than 6 is required to be admitted without any ESL language requirements. If you score between a 5.0 or 6.0 with no band lower than 4.5, you can still be admitted to most of our degree programs and you will just have to complete some ESL courses alongside your degree courses.
