IELTS Registration process is very simple. To register for an IELTS test, you could apply more conveniently, simply register online. IELTS test fee is HKD $2,685. Registration and payment must be completed within 24 hours, and your admission document, dates and time of both your written and speaking tests will be sent to you 7 days prior to the test. You must arrive early on the test day to register and store your personal belongings. Please bring along your ID and admission document for verification, and have your fingerprint scanned before entering the test venue.
IELTS reflects the ability to communicate in English and assess a wide range of skills. Therefore, it is important to develop your test taking strategies. Candidates should make full use of the official test preparation resources. As long as you have a clear understanding of the content, format and scoring criteria of the test and leverage our preparation resources, it would be easy to score well!
IDP IELTS provides 2 different online booking systems, please refer to below for the registration method:

Step 1: Enter IDP IELTS online booking site and click “Get Started”
Step 2: Choose the test type and format you need
Step 3: Choose the location and Speaking test time you want to take this test, then click “Reserve Now” and “Review Booking”
Step 4: On the confirmation page, click “Log in and complete your booking”
Step 5: Please log in or sign up an IDP IELTS account
Step 6: Please fill in your information after logging in (the name must be the same as the HKID card / passport)
Step 7: Finalise your payment (you can choose to pay online or offline)
Step 8: Once payment completed, please go to “My Tests” to review the test you applied and click “Update Details”
Step 9: Please fill in your HKID card / passport number and upload your HKID / passport photo (Please note that the photo should show the passport number), then click “Confirm & Update”
Step 10: Please fill in your postal address, then click “Confirm & Update”
Step 11: Please fill in your IELTS information, then click “Confirm & Update”

Step 2: Choose your IELTS or IELTS for UKVI test
Step 3: Choose test location and test type(Academic, General Training and more)
Step 4: Choose IELTS on Computer or Paper-based IELTS, dates and click "Continue"
Step 5: Please log in or register test taker account
Step 6: Please fill in your information after logging in (the name must be the same as the passport)
Step 7: Please fill in your postal address
Step 8: Please fill in your passport number and upload your passport photo (Please note that the photo should show the passport number)
Step 9: Please agree to terms and conditions
Step 10: Pay online (Paypal, Visa or Mastercard)
Registration and payment must be completed within 24 hours
Your admission document, dates and time of both your written and speaking tests will be sent to you 7 days prior to the test. If you do not receive the confirmation, please contact IDP Education. (Make sure you check both your Junk folder and Trash folder)
Print your admission document and bring together the same ID document used in your registration. (A screen capture of your admission document on a cell phone is also acceptable)

IDP IELTS tests are generally held in hotels, schools and conference centers. The venues are mostly located on Kowloon (including: Lai Chi Kok, Kwun Tong).
