Student Visa Requirements

To apply for an Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500), you will need:

  • Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE) in an accredited Australian institution.

  • Register on the Department of Home Affairs website by creating an Immi account.

  • You must have an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

  • You must demonstrate that you have enough money for tuition fees, living expenses, and travel costs. Bank statements and financial capacity documents are required.

  • Pass character and health checks as part of the visa requirements.

  • Submit valid English language test results, such as the PTE or IELTS.

  • You must demonstrate your genuine intention to study temporarily by meeting the Genuine Student Requirement (GSR).

Application Process: How to Apply

  • Prepare your documents: Gather your passport, Coe, your English test results, your proof of funds, OSHC, and your health and character certificates.

  • Complete your application: Fill out the online visa application and attach all required supporting documents.

  • Pay Fees and Submit: Make the necessary online payment to submit your application. Registration fee is subject to the university.

  • Keep an eye on your application: While you wait for a decision, you may check the status of your application.

Intakes in Australia

Australian universities typically offers two primary intakes for international students. The main enrollment period occurs in February or early March, coinciding with the availability of most courses and scholarships, and it signifies the beginning of the academic year.

The second intake takes place in July, providing a decent selection of courses, albeit fewer than those available in February. This is perfect for students who require additional preparation time or have missed previous deadlines. Certain universities provide a limited enrollment option in November for selected programs.

The multiple intakes offer students the opportunity to plan their study schedules according to their individual readiness and academic aspirations.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Scholarships are available for Pakistani students from Australian colleges, government programs and other sources. However, the percentage of these scholarships may vary according to the offerings from the university and the program that you are applying for.
