What it covers
A full scholarship which includes tuition fees, stipend, travel costs, visa and health coverage fees. The stipend for 2026-2027 is £1731 per month (although if staying in University accommodation, this will be deducted from this total).
Who can apply
Applicants are required to:
- be a women, as defined under UK legislation.
- be a permanent resident of and hold a valid passport (or recognised international travel document from) Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Timor-Leste, and be able to obtain a UK visa using the documents they hold.
- agree to return your country of citizenship or residence for a minimum of two years after your scholarship ends.
- meet Cranfield University's entry requirements of an eligible full-time course for the academic year from Sept/Oct 2026 – 2027. Please see course page for details.
- have obtained your undergraduate results by 13 July 2026 at the latest.
- demonstrate a case for financial support. Applicants must not be able to privately fund their UK studies and must not be in receipt of financial support from any other source that duplicates the core benefits of the scholarship. Private savings that can top up the scholarship is permitted.
- be active in the STEM field with work experience or with a proven interest in the proposed subject area.
- be willing to contribute to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement in their home country after graduating from the Master's course in the UK.
- agree to maintain contact with the British Council and act as an ambassador for the UK, and engage with both Cranfield and Alumni UK activities during and after their Master's course in the UK.
- demonstrate a plan and a passion to engage other women and girls in STEM from their home country.

If your scholarship application progresses to the next stage, you will be invited to make an application to your chosen course at Cranfield University. Our dedicated Admissions Team will help you through this process. Although you are encouraged to review the entry requirements on the course page to ensure you are well prepared to meet them.
Do not submit an admission application to the University until you are advised to do so. Even if you already have an offer to study at Cranfield or have deferred an offer from a previous year, you must still complete the online scholarship application form.
