The studentships will be awarded to a small number of British students to help towards tuition costs at UK higher education institutions for MSc courses starting in the autumn each year. Awards are anticipated to be between £1,500 and £2,500 depending on the number and quality of applicants.
Who can apply
Applicants must be British nationals who would have previously been eligible for Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) support.
Applicants must have an honours degree in a relevant subject (including civil engineering, geography, environmental science, ecology, statistics, physics or mathematics), with at least upper second class honours.
BHS will review applications, assessing academic performance, references, and personal statements, and rank candidates accordingly.
