Hogan Lovells Scholarships

Applications will be considered on the basis of their ability to meet the eligibility criteria, academic potential and the personal statement and references provided.
In addition to the information supplied on the scholarship application form, the University will gather contextual information to support the assessment of applications.
Please note that whilst you can apply for as many scholarships as you are eligible for you may only be able to hold one award.

A reference from one of your teachers in support of your scholarship application to be sent by email to scholarship. Please ensure your referee submits the reference on letter headed paper or from a school e-mail account which contains:

• their name
• position
• contact details
• your full name

Referee Guidance:

1 Please explain how academically engaged the student is

2 Please provide information on any activities the student takes part in either in or out of school

3 Please provide any additional information you think would be helpful.

Applicant should:

• have a household income below £42,875 (as assessed by Student Finance)
• be the first generation in their immediate family to attend university - immediate family relates to parents and siblings
• ideally have attended a state school

Applications are also welcome from candidates from the following groups black and minority ethnic students (BAME), caregivers, care leavers and disabled students

The University gratefully acknowledges the generous gift bestowed by Hogan Lovells International LLP. The Hogan Lovells Scholarship assists one or more undergraduate student(s) embarking on the LLB Law or Law with Foundation LLB programme who meet the essential eligibility criteria associated with this scholarship and who have the desire to practice commercial law.

Four Scholarships are offered per academic year, awarding the scholar(s) with up to £9,000 of financial support for the first years of their academic studies on their Law programme.

Amount

£3,000 per year

Can be paid towards tuition fee costs, accommodation or directly into the recipient's bank account in termly instalments.
