To be eligible for the Guarantee, international students must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a commencing international student (not a study abroad, exchange or online student) in 2025 or 2026 enrolled in an eligible coursework course that requires mandatory placement (described below).
2. Enrol in the mandatory placement units as part of an eligible coursework course.
3. Possess a valid visa which permits you to study in Australia for the duration of the eligible coursework course.
4. Meet the additional terms and conditions as set out.
Federation guarantees support for international students who have mandatory placement units but are not doing Co-op courses. With a minimum payment for the placement hours required in their course – up to $10,000 for undergraduates and $5,000 for postgraduates, these payments will be distributed in instalments throughout your study.
Application There are two categories of courses for the application of the Guarantee:
1. Industry Paid Placement
2. Placement Support Scholarship
