The Care Leavers Transition Bursary and Care Leaver Annual Support Bursary

The Care Leavers Transition Bursary and Care Leaver Annual Support Bursary are available to those who meet the definition of a care leaver: a young person who: has been in the care of, or been given accommodation by, their Local Authority (LA) for a period of at least 13 weeks before the age of 16 and has not reconciled with their parents between leaving care and starting their course. The Transition Bursary is a one of payment of £500 and the Annual support bursary is £1,800.
