To be considered for this scholarship, you must ordinarily reside in mainland China or Hong Kong (excluding Taiwan), have been classified as Overseas for fee status, submit a PhD application in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Natural Sciences, or the Imperial Business School (for Business School, current registered Imperial MRes students only-with no PhD application required-students must approach the Business School and a supervisor with details of their proposed project well before 12 January 2026 and be due to progress to the PhD in 2026/27), have a formal offer of admission by the time your department submits the completed ''Lee Family Scholarship – Nomination Form,'' and be a new PhD applicant, as current registered Imperial PhD students are not eligible for the 2026/27 academic year, the earliest start date for funded places is 1 August 2026 and the latest start date is 1 November 2026 (with later dates considered only on a case-by-case basis).
