Uggla Family Scholars Programme

Seven scholarships are available for new LSE undergraduate students from the UK. Three scholarships are available for new LSE undergraduate students from any country outside the UK (who are classified as having overseas fee status). The Uggla Family has a preference for one overseas scholar to be from Canada.

For 2025 entry:

Up to 10 scholarships are available through the Programme.

Typically seven scholarships are available for new LSE undergraduate students from the UK.

Typically three scholarships are available for new LSE undergraduate students from any country outside the UK (who are classified as having overseas fee status). The Uggla Family has a preference for one overseas Scholar to be from Canada.

For each academic year, Scholarships will provide partial tuition fee awards and full financial support for the Scholars' term-time accommodation and other term-time expenses, including include food, household bills, travel, study books and social events.

Eligibility
To be considered for the Uggla Family Scholars Programme, applicants must have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer of admission on any undergraduate programme at LSE. Candidates must be from low-income households and be able to demonstrate financial need.
UK Uggla Family Scholarships

For 2025 entry, the UK scholarships are worth £22,325 per year and will be renewed for each subsequent year of study, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

The annual award is made up of:

- a tuition fee award of £4,780 per year.

- a maintenance stipend of £17,545 per year to cover accommodation and other living costs.

Overseas Uggla Family Scholarships

For 2025 entry, the Overseas scholarships are worth £31,219 per year and will be renewed for each subsequent year of study, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

The annual award is made up of:

- a tuition fee award worth £13,121 per year*

- a maintenance stipend of £17,545 per year to cover accommodation and other living costs.

- a travel award of £553 per year to assist with travel costs.
