Opportunity Scholarship

Scholarship award-holders will receive £3,000 per year for three years (excluding a placement year). These cash bursaries are funded through donations from alumni and friends of the University.

There are 50 new scholarships available annually. You may receive an invitation to apply for the Opportunity Scholarship if:

• You have applied to study at Loughborough and have received an offer from us
• Your UCAS application shows that you have verified free school meal status

In order to be considered for this scholarship:

• You will also need to have a current household income of less than £30,000 per year – this will be verified when you apply for your student loan and agree to your personal information being shared.

You will also need to select Loughborough as your firm choice

Scholarships are limited and will be awarded based on priority. Initially, priority is given to students completing our LUDUS or Realising Opportunities progressive access programmes, and have a verified household income up to £30,000. If you are currently completing these progressive programmes, you will receive information directly from us about your eligibility. Remaining scholarships will be prioritised for those from the lowest household incomes.
