The Professor Brenda Barrett Bursaries

In order to qualify for the Professor Brenda Barrett Law Scholarship, you must:

• Be a new full-time enrolled student on an undergraduate or postgraduate Law degree.
• Either a UK or an international student.
• Be enrolled on your original programme of study by September 2026 and in continued attendance at the time of any payment.
• All the degrees are subject to there being sufficient student numbers. If any of the degrees do not run, you will be offered one of the other LLB pathways (if you are applying for an undergraduate Law degree) or one of the other LLM pathways (if you are applying for a postgraduate Law degree).
• Provide an answer to all the questions in the form including the supporting statements.
• Provide honest answers to criteria above. Please note that we may require proof before awarding to shortlisted students. For example a student from a low income household may be asked for a copy of their Student Finance letter.
• Agree to actively participate in various activities and events aimed at raising aspirations and awareness of university. This may include attending a filmed interview, or writing about your experience and / or publishing social media posts. Exceptions can apply, and will be considered if you are awarded the scholarship or bursary.
• Consent to the processing of this data by Middlesex University under the provision of the General Data Protection Regulation. Your data may be shared with the relevant donor/academic for the purpose of assessing your scholarship or bursary application.
