The successful candidate is required to put together a two A4-page report for the Donor at the end of the academic year. The report should outline the progress and content of the Scholar's practice, how they benefitted.
The successful candidate may be asked to assist with Queen Mary marketing events such as postgraduate open evenings and/or web/video student profiles as well as supporting QMUL School of Law in promoting the scholarship (e.g. through interviews, photos and presence at events).
Applicants must meet all of the following eligibility criteria
- You must have a conditional or unconditional offer for the Art, Business and the Law LLM (please note that this is a specific programme of study, it does not apply to those who are applying for any of the other LLM programmes)
- You must be a full time student
- You can have either a UK or International fees status
- You must not be in receipt of funding from another source.
This scholarship will be awarded to those who we deem to have successfully demonstrated their reasoning for being awarded a scholarship based on the following criteria
- Academic merit
- Professional achievements (if any)
- Financial need
In order to apply for this scholarship please complete and sign the online application form (the link is on the bottom of this page) and a 1,000 word (maximum) statement in response to the following
‘Please explain why you want to study the Art, Business and Law LLM at Queen Mary University of London, specifying the modules you have a particular interest in. Consider what you will bring to the programme and why you feel you should be awarded a scholarship, focusing on your academic and professional achievements (if relevant), any courses or events offered by the Institute of Art & Law that you may have completed or attended, and financial need.'
In addition to the compulsory personal statement described above, we require the following documents to be submitted with your programme application. Please ensure these are all uploaded to the Queen Mary application portal.
- Transcripts of your law degree and any other legal qualifications.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- 1 x reference letter
Incomplete, incorrect or late scholarship applications will not be accepted or processed.
