Please provide a supporting statement of no longer than 400 words, which should include:
- Academic achievements you are particularly proud of and why these really matter to you
- Why you have chosen to do the degree you have applied for
- How you have demonstrated leadership skills
- What your future aspirations are and how the scholarship will help you to achieve your future goals
- The financial impact the scholarship would have on your education.
Your statement will be judged on how effectively and convincingly you respond to the above.
Applications which exceed the word count will automatically be rejected.
One scholarship is available for a student showing potential as a future leader and is studying one of the subjects.
Am I eligible?
- Home fee status
- Strong academic record with high predicted A-level (or equivalent) grades, including those with contextual offers. (As a guide, previous applicants have been predicted AAA, or equivalent).
Applying for a degree within the following departments:
- School of Business and Management
- Department of Economics, including joint honours degrees with the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures.
Meet at least two of the following criteria:
- Been in care for three months or more
- Attend an aspiring school (low performing school)
- Disability or health condition that impacts your daily life
- Mature student
- Parents/carers did not attend university
- Home postcode matches definition of lower participation in higher education neighbourhood (POLAR 4, Q1).
