Global Scholarships

Selection of recipients will be based upon consideration of the following factors:

Academic potential, as demonstrated by programme admission

Those who hold one of the following passports*:

• Bangladesh
• China
• Hong Kong
• India
• Indonesia
• Macau
• Malaysia
• Singapore
• South Korea
• Sri Lanka
• Taiwan
• Thailand
• Vietnam

Application for all International Entrance Scholarships are normally open to students who have completed secondary (high) school, or at another approved institution that grants University Entrance either overseas or within New Zealand.

And

Are intending to enrol or have enrolled in full-time degree-level, undergraduate study at the University of Otago Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka.

In addition to the above eligibility criteria, applicants must be:

• Intending to study at the University of Otago Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka from 100-level (first year) through to degree* attainment
• Applying either to study at the University of Otago Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka from a nominated country, and/or to be undertaking a specified programme of study at Otago
• Studying on campus throughout the duration of their studies.
