Selection criteria:
The Indigenous Futures Centre is excited to support the next generation of Indigenous researchers. In addition to offering an attractive top-up scholarship and research support funds, the Centre provides its PhD candidates with training, mentoring and career opportunities.
The first of its kind, the Centre's research program will take an expansive transdisciplinary approach to address Australia's most pressing, persistent, and challenging social research issues.
Our research program conceptually shifts away from deficit-based approaches and modelling, which emphasises 'lack', toward accentuating Indigenous self-determination.
Projects will align with the Centre's three interconnected research themes:
- Law and Justice
- Education and Economics
- Health and Wellbeing
