Award Description
Thanks to the generosity of Paul and Yuanbi Ramsay the University of Birmingham is pleased to provide two high-calibre students, who may otherwise struggle financially, with a full tuition-fee waiver (at the Home rate) for a one-year taught Masters programme in the School of Computer Science for entry in September 2025.
Value of Award
There are two Ramsay MSc bursaries available this year. Successful applicants will receive a full tuition-fee waiver, at the Home rate of fees, for their one-year MSc programme within the School of Computer Science.
The Bursary can only be paid as a tuition-fee waiver. It is not possible for the University to provide a cash payment in place of the tuition-fee waiver.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be eligible to pay UK Home fees and the selection of successful candidates will be based initially upon financial need and then upon academic achievement.
Applicants must have an offer of a place on one of the one-year MSc programmes at the Birmingham campus in the School of Computer Science.
Applications should be submitted online, using the Ramsay MSc Bursary application form.
Please ensure you complete all sections of the form and remember to provide detailed information on your financial situation as financial need is the main criteria for the School of Computer Science when considering applications for this award.
It's important to remember that the availability of awards is limited and as such not all applications will be successful. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by the end of August 2025.
