Cratchley Scholarship in History

Up to four awards are available in 2025/26.

Successful candidates receive £2,000 for their first, second and third years. There is also a further £1,000 available as Career Employability funding.

If you started before 2025/26

Your awards have a value of £3,500 if you started before 2025/26. You receive:

£2,000 in the first year
£750 in the second and third years

There is also a further £1,000 available as Career Employability Funding.

Eligibility

You can apply if you:

are a UK applicant for full-time undergraduate study
have an offer (or are awaiting a decision) to study for an undergraduate History degree starting in 2025/26 excluding:

Ancient History
History of Art

have a household income of £50,000 or less as confirmed by the Student Loans Company
