In making the recommendation, the Vice-Chancellor (or nominee), will consider a candidate's: a. financial need and/or b. loss of a parent through death and c. academic achievement. 4.2 In selecting between two or more candidates considered to be equally qualified under clause 4.1, preference will be given to any candidate who has attended Hagley College for at least one full year. 4.3 If, in any year, there are fewer candidates of sufficient merit than there are scholarships available, fewer scholarships will be awarded.
This scholarship is offered to students enrolled in an undergraduate programme for a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Canterbury.
Tenure: Three years
Applicants must be undergraduate students, enrolled, full-time or part-time, at 100-level in a programme for a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Canterbury.
The scholarship is tenable during full-time or part-time enrolment in a programme for a degree in Biological Sciences at the University.
