Eligibility
The award is available to UK undergraduate students who enter the first year of a BSc or MMath degree in Mathematics or Mathematics with Data Science and who have obtained 128 UCAS Tariff points from three A-Levels* including an A in A level maths or equivalent*.
Students must maintain an average mark of 65 or above in each year of study for the award to continue into their second and third years of study.
Applicants who achieve the set criteria do not need to apply for the scholarship, they will be automatically considered.
* Standard University of Hull methods are used to define equivalents. UCAS points from General Studies are not considered.
About this award
If you're studying for a BSc or MMath degree in Mathematics or Mathematics with Data Science and have 128 UCAS Tariff points from three A-Levels* or equivalent, including an A in maths, you'll receive a cash award of £2,100.
The Gillian Stead Scholarship is paid in two £1,050 instalments per year, for a maximum of three years. These will be automatically paid in October and February.
You'll continue to receive the award in your second and third years of study if you have an average mark of 65 or above in each year.
