CIT Non-Resident Graduate Scholarship Guidelines
- Graduate scholarship students must be newly admitted and degree-seeking at the University of Michigan-Flint within the College of Innovation and Technology, taking 500+ level courses. (certificate programs are excluded).
- To continue the scholarship, graduate scholarship students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in every semester at UM-Flint.
- Graduate student recipients must be enrolled for eight credits or more per semester.
- Graduate scholarship student recipients must maintain out-of-state residency for tuition purposes and meet eligibility requirements set by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Any changes in residency, immigration status, or the receipt of an out-of-state tuition waiver will impact the student recipient's eligibility to receive the award.
- International Students are expected to maintain lawful immigration status according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security guidelines.
- Graduate Student Instructors may not work more than 23.6%.
- Graduate Student Research Assistants with less than or equal to 24.9%.
- Students must remain in good standing according to the Code of Student Conduct.
No need to apply. The CIT Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship is an automatic process. Admitted students will be reviewed for this award shortly after the admission decision based on academic excellence criteria. If you are a new incoming, admitted student and qualify for the scholarship, you will receive an email notification. Continuing students will have their scholarships automatically renewed if they continue to meet all terms of the guidelines.
