Students who attended the following schools will be eligible to apply for the scholarship:

• Islay High School (Argyll & Bute region)
• Rothesay Academy (Argyll & Bute Region)
• Tiree High School (Argyll & Bute Region)
• Tobermory High School (Argyll & Bute)
• Portree High School, Portree (Highland Region)
• Kirkwall Grammar School (Orkney Islands Region)
• Stromness Academy (Orkney Islands Region)
• Anderson High School (Shetland Islands)
• Brae High School (Shetland Islands)
• Castle bay School (Western Isles)
• Sgoil Lionacleit (Western Isles)
• Sir Edward Scott School (Western Isles)
• The Nicolson Institute (Western Isles)

Selection is based on financial need and donor-specific criteria.

Please note that as the Wardlaw scholarships are donor-funded, core personal details may be passed to the benefactors of your scholarship with your permission. This permission is requested in the application form. If you select that you do not wish to be considered for donor funding, you will only be considered for the St Andrews Access Award.

As part of the application, you will be asked to upload the following:

Household income

Please refer to the Financial Funding Tool for advice on how to calculate your household income and the types of supporting evidence we require you to upload.

If you are care experienced and unable to provide household evidence, please upload a document that states this. You do not need to upload evidence of your care experience, if this has already been provided to Admissions.

If you are an asylum seeker and are unable to provide household evidence, please upload evidence confirming your official Home Office status.

You must apply to the University for funding, giving complete and accurate information before the deadline.
