The criteria for the Horizon Fund bursary is subject to change each academic year – please review the eligibility criteria below before applying.

Prospective students must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply for the one of the bursaries:

Be a first year/Level 4 undergraduate only
Be a UK home student
Be from and currently live within 30 miles of one of our campuses (These campuses are Stoke-on-Trent, Blackheath Lane, Lichfield and Shrewsbury)
Have joined the University from Step-up to HE or an Access to HE course
Have paid full tuition fees as a full-time on-campus student
Have a household income of below £25,000 per annum that is assessed by their award authority, and have given consent for this information to be shared with the University
Be studying a non-funded course (i.e. not entitled to receive any government support)
Not receiving any other Horizon Fund Bursary or Scholarship this academic year

The bursary will be paid in two instalments directly to the provided bank account - students must be in full attendance for these payment dates.
