The criteria for the Horizon Fund bursary is subject to change each academic year – please review the eligibility criteria below before applying.
Prospective students must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply for the one of the bursaries:
- Be a first year/Level 4 undergraduate only
- Be a UK home student
- Be from and currently live within 30 miles of one of our campuses (These campuses are Stoke-on-Trent, Blackheath Lane, Lichfield and Shrewsbury)
- Have joined the University from Step-up to HE or an Access to HE course
- Have paid full tuition fees as a full-time on-campus student
- Have a household income of below £25,000 per annum that is assessed by their award authority, and have given consent for this information to be shared with the University
- Be studying a non-funded course (i.e. not entitled to receive any government support)
- Not receiving any other Horizon Fund Bursary or Scholarship this academic year
The bursary will be paid in two instalments directly to the provided bank account - students must be in full attendance for these payment dates.
