The Data Lab Scholarships

The Data Lab is Scotland's innovation centre for data and has a mission to maximise the value that Scotland gets from data. It facilitates partnerships between industry and academia, supporting data science projects as well as funding and running first class, education programmes.

These scholarships are available to students studying on one of the following on-campus postgraduate masters courses at the University of Stirling:

MSc Mathematics and Data Science (scholarship filled)
MSc Financial Technology (scholarship filled)
MSc Advanced Computing with Artificial Intelligence* (scholarship filled)
MSc Artificial Intelligence* (scholarship filled)
MSc Big Data* (scholarship filled)
MSc Business Analytics**
MSc Data Science for Business**

* Six scholarships are shared between MSc Advanced Computing with Artificial Intelligence, MSc Artificial Intelligence and MSc Big Data (scholarships now filled).

** One scholarship is shared between MSc Data Science for Business and MSc Business Analytics (scholarships now filled).

Eligibility and availability

The funded places are open to applicants domiciled in Scotland. To apply for a funded place you must have applied for one of the courses listed above, and have been made an offer to study an on-campus course based at the University of Stirling campus starting in September 2025.

To meet the eligibility criteria, only applicants who have the right to live and work in the UK and whose permanent place of residence has been Scotland for the past three years can apply for these scholarships.
