This award is designed to support you with your transition from further education into higher education and to enhance your overall student experience. The funding can be used flexibly to support essential study-related expenses such as course materials, academic resources, equipment, learning tools, or other costs that help you engage fully with your course and university life.
This award forms part of the University's commitment to supporting local students as they move into higher education and succeed in their studies.
Who is this for?
Our Sunderland College Award is for students progressing directly from Sunderland College to start an eligible full-time undergraduate course in autumn 2026.
No application is required, your eligibility is assessed automatically. Our Sunderland College Award is awarded to eligible students following a checking and verification process after enrolment.
