Transfer Bursary

The Transfer Bursary is available to eligible Home students who transfer from another Higher Education Institution and enrol onto Level 5 or 6 of a full-time undergraduate degree at UWL in September/October 2026. The bursary consists of:

• a £1,000 fee reduction in your first year of study.
• for students who enrol at Level 5 (year 2): a £500 bursary paid upon successful completion of Level 5.
• for students who enrol at Level 6 (year 3/final year): a £500 bursary paid upon successful completion of the course.

To be eligible for the bursary, you must:

• Have successfully completed and achieved 120 credits at Level 4 at another institution, for entry at Level 5.
• Have successfully completed and achieved 240 credits at Levels 4 and 5 at another institution, for entry at Level 6.

Please note that the bursary may only be applied to one course, and you cannot be in receipt of any other scholarship or bursary. Applicants will not be eligible if they are required to complete additional modules as part of the conditions of their offer to study at UWL.

All applicants must:

(a) transfer directly from another HEI to the University

(b) meet the admission and academic requirements of the University

(c) enrol and remain enrolled with the University, on a full-time on campus basis, onto the Undergraduate Degree at Level 5 or Level 6

(d) for entry and enrolment at Level 5, have successfully completed and achieved 120 credits at level 4 (year one) at another HEI

(e) for entry and enrolment at Level 6, have successfully completed and achieved 240 credits at Level 4 (year one) and Level 5 (year two) at another HEI.
