About University of New Haven

The University of New Haven was founded on the Yale campus in 1920.It is a private, coeducational university. The university has a diverse and vibrant community of more than 6,800 students, with campuses around the country and around the world. It is a coeducational, non-sectarian, independent institution of higher learning, chartered by the General Assembly of the State of Connecticut. The University of New Haven's main campus is located in West Haven, Connecticut. Situated on 82 acres atop a hill overlooking the New Haven skyline with views of Long Island Sound, this campus is conveniently located a mile north of Interstate 95 between Boston and New York City.
