Master of Science in Chemistry

The Masters of Science in Chemistry degree is primarily a research-based degree where students spend the majority of their time in a research laboratory working on an independent research project. In addition to taking a number of advanced-level classes, students carry out sophisticated experiments and gain valuable critical thinking skills by analyzing data and planning the next steps in the project. You are eligible to apply as a graduate student if you have earned a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

An undergraduate degree in chemistry or biochemistry or a selection of science courses deemed adequate preparation for further study in chemistry or biochemistry by the department graduate committee.
At least a 2.75 GPA in science courses.
